How Are Facials Performed?
Following a consultation to create your unique treatment plan based on your skin type and concerns, you can relax in a treatment room as your facial is performed. Every facial treatment will be unique, but most facials begin with a deep cleansing to clear away dirt, oil, makeup, and lotion. After cleaning the skin, steam is safely used to open clogged skin pores so blackheads and whiteheads can be easily extracted. This is often followed by an exfoliation of the skin, either done by hand or with an added service (chemical peel or microdermabrasion). A mask or serum may then be massaged in for deep nourishment. To end the treatment, an SPF moisturizer selected for your skin type will be smoothed on to protect from UV damage after the facial.
